Here are some of the instruments available at Collaborative Connection:
Intercultural Development Inventory
The Intercultural Development Inventory (IDI) is based on the Developmental Model of Intercultural Sensitivity (DMIS). This assessment generates a graphic profile of an individual’s or group’s predominant stage of intercultural development. It can be used to provide pre and post-test benchmarks. An individual and/or a group’s profile requires a trained interpreter for in- depth understanding.
Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory
The Intercultural Conflict Style Inventory (ICS) measures two alternative preferences in conflict style: “directness versus indirectness” and “emotional expressiveness versus emotional restraint”. Understanding these aspects of conflict style and your personal preferences can help you adapt, as needed, when dealing with conflict across cultures.
Intercultural Effectiveness Scale
The Intercultural Effectiveness Scale (IES) measures competencies critical for successful interaction with people from other cultures. This instrument can also be a predictor of how effective an individual will be when working with people who are a different in gender, generation, ethnic group, religious affiliation, etc. The IES focuses on three specific dimensions of intercultural effectiveness: Continuous Learning, Interpersonal Engagement, and Hardiness. These three dimensions are combined to generate an overall Intercultural Effectiveness Score.
Cultural Orientation Framework
The Cultural Orientation Framework (COF) is a self-report tool. It is designed to assess your personal preference in terms of 17 cultural dimensions. The COF was specifically designed for use in cross-cultural coaching. (It is available for free from the publisher’s website www.philrosinski.com).
Leadership Practice Inventory
The Leadership Practice Inventory (LPI) is a self-assessment associated with Kouzes and Posner’s Leadership Challenge. This instrument approaches leadership as a measurable, learnable, and teachable set of behaviors. We will use your results to celebrate your strengths and enhance your leadership potential.
Myers-Briggs Type Indicator
The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) provides you with insights about yourself and how you interact with others. It provides a framework for building better relationships, driving positive change, harnessing innovation, and achieving excellence.
Strong Interpretive Report
The Strong Interpretive Report is readily accessible and easy to understand. It offers a road map for exploring and pursuing a rewarding life of work and leisure. This career development tool identifies the 10 occupations potentially most satisfying to you and the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for success.
